James J. Sellitti was born in Steubenville, Ohio, raised in Weirton, West Virginia and currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated cum laude from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Mr. Sellitti worked as a real estate broker in Morgantown, West Virginia, while in college and law school. He graduated from West Virginia University’s College of Law in 1980 where he was a member of the WVU Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Sellitti was also a member of the Marlyn E. Lugar Trial Association, which focused on providing students with courtroom experience.
Attorney Sellitti has over 35 years of trial experience and has received numerous jury verdicts and settlements in favor of his clients, many in excess of one million dollars. In addition, he has tried an industrial accident case against the former Weirton Steel Corporation that resulted in a substantial verdict for their client. Attorney Sellitti has also successfully litigated medical malpractice cases in Ohio and Pennsylvania that have resulted in significant settlements.
